Photoshop needs Autosave + Features

I've had lots of experience with losing an image when something happens to my computer (like the battery dies), but today, I experienced a whole new level of "OMFG IM GOING TO F****** KILL F******* PHOTOSHOP! *throw something then sit down and bawl for an hour*".

I was close to being done with a picture that I had been working on for almost a week now, and I was being a good girl and saving it every 5 minutes, so I thought I was safe. Well, I started getting hungry, and I saved it one last time before I got up. When I set down my laptop, the cord fell out and the computer shut down. "Don't worry, Elly. You saved it, remember?"

When the computer turned back on, I opened the PSD (to make sure it had saved) and the first thing that pops up is "This document contains Adobe Photoshop data which appears to be damaged. Continue and ignore the Photoshop data?" I clicked Ok, and guess what was left of all my heart work?

A black background.
One layer out of the 100+ I had.
ONE.
LAYER.

And you know the best part? My computer didn't even have the previous versions.
Not. One.
Which means I get to start over from scratch.

So yeah, now that I've gotten past my tantrum/"How could I be so stupid" phase, I'm really, really pissed, and I feel like comforting myself.
